Haircare After The Holidays

Haircare After The Holidays

Hair care after the holidays is a great way to help liven up and clean away all that buildup to leave you with luscious locks. One of the best ways to do this is by clarifying your hair and scalp regularly. It's an important part of maintaining healthy hair. No matter how high-quality your products are and what the ingredients are, it's still imperative to clarify your hair regularly. Especially if you want it to stay bouncy, healthy and vibrant.

With time, you may begin to leave residue behind, which will eventually weigh down your hair, leaving it flat and lifeless. This can be solved by clarifying every 46 to 60 days, but this really depends on your hair type. If you have thinner hair you should wait longer in between and if you have thicker hair, you would probably need to do it more often.

Here are some amazing at home ways to help you clarify your hair!

Sugar & Salt Scalp Scrub

  • ¼ cup of Nora Ross Shampoo
  • 1 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • 4 tbsp of salt or coarse sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar for exfoliator
First step, thoroughly wash your hair. Then combine all ingredients and work into your wet hair, paying special attention to your scalp. Don’t scrub too hard so you don’t make your scalp sore but good enough so you feel it’s clean. Then let sit for one minute before rinsing your hair clean. Make sure you rinse it all out so you don’t leave any sugar or sold behind. Then the last step is to give back a little hydration by applying a deep conditioner or your favourite Nora Ross conditioner.
Simple Baking Soda Clarifying
  • ¼ cup of a gentle liquid soap or Nora Ross Shampoo
  • Stir in enough baking soda to create a paste
  • If it gets too thick, you can add in a little water
Follow the same application instructions as above.
